Re-testing Material
Re-testing QC is used to apply an additional set of QC results against a lot that was purchased or produced. This will usually happen when there is a lot that has failed its QC testing and has been re-worked in some manner.

Configuration
Quality Control Tests - These specifically define the tests that will be conducted against a lot of material. Maintained in Inventory > Maintenance > Quality Control Tests.
Quality Control Groups - Groups a set of tests together. This will then be applied to specific items. Maintained in Inventory > Maintenance > Quality Control Groups.
Item Master - Materials that will have QC tests applied upon receipt of a Purchase Order will have the Group assigned to that Part’s Item Master record.
Bills Of Material - Materials that will have QC tests applied upon inputting production on a Job will have the Group assigned to that Part’s BOM record.
Process
Navigate to Inventory > Inventory Reporting > select "Lots" from the Report Type pick list and enter the lot information for the lot that will be moved > click "View".
Highlight the lot on the report > click "Move Inventory".
Set the "Move To" field to "QC Pending" > verify the Location information > click "Apply".
If a purchased lot is being re-tested, navigate to Purchasing > QC Result Entry. For further information, refer to the Entering Purchasing and Stability QC Test Results Best Practice page.
If a manufactured lot is being re-tested, navigate to Production > QC Result Entry. For further information, refer to the Entering Production and Stability QC Test Results Best Practice page.
